重要な仕事を続けているアーティストの活動や言説を、関係者の証言も交えてアーカイブ化していく「オーラル・ヒストリー」シリーズ。
Vol.2の今作では、ダンサー・振付家である伊藤キムを取り上げます。
伊藤は舞踏家の故・古川あんずに師事し、1996年に『生きたまま死んでいるヒトは死んだまま生きているのか？』でバニョレ国際振付賞を、2001年には第一回朝日舞台芸術賞で寺山修司賞を受賞。以降も国内外で作品を多数発表し、高い評価と人気を誇る中、2005年から2006年にかけて世界一周の旅へ。帰国後、「もう新作は作らない」と宣言。現在はカンパニー「輝く未来」の活動に加え、小中高生などのユース向けワークショップを行い、京都造形芸術大学で教鞭をとり、さらにはダンス経験のない「おやじ」たちが踊るカフェを開くなど、ダンスを通した教育・社会的な活動への興味が窺えます。
本人へのロングインタビューに加え、様々な関係者の証言、日々の活動の様子、過去の作品映像を収録。
現代に生きる私たちにとって「踊り」とは一体何なのか？アーティスト伊藤キムの今を検証することで、その問いに迫ります。

| Itoh Kim -Glorious Future? |
Kenji Kubota Art Office is pleased to present "Kim Itoh - Glorious Future?" as our second "Oral History" -- a film archive of testimonies from the Japanese artist and his related circles.
Following the late dancer Anzu Furukawa, he is awarded Prix d'Auteur du Conseil general de la Seine-Saint-Denis in 1996 with his "Dead and Alive -Body on the Borderline" and Shuji Terayama Award in The Asahi Performing Arts Awards in 2001. Subsequent to those awards, he gained high reputation and popularity by releasing his works throughout the world and then went on a round-the-world trip from 2005 to 2006. After coming back from his trip, he declared he would not undertake a new work again. At present, he is active in his own company "Glorious Future" and in workshops for the youth, teaches at the Kyoto University of Art and Design, opens a cafe, and organizes dances performed by middle-aged people who have no experience in dancing. Through his activities, we can see his interest in education and society with dancing as his vehicle of influence.
This DVD includes Kim Itoh's long interview, comments from his related circles, his daily activities and images of his past works. What is "dance" for the people of today? By looking into the present state of Kim Itoh, we shall approach that question.

「横浜トリエンナーレ2001」においてインターコンチネンタルホテルに全長50mの巨大バッタ『インセクトワールド−飛蝗』を設置し、大きな話題を呼んだアーティスト椿昇の初ドキュメンタリー映像。
アートマーケットやシステムから一定の距離を取り続けながら、社会との「ラディカル･ダイアログ」（根源的な対話）を模索する椿昇。稀有な才能を持つアーティストであり、誰もが認める有能で魅力に溢れた教育者、椿が語る「世界」「人間」「アート」とは何か？あらゆる事象に興味を持ち、徹底的なリサーチと想像力によって生まれる多岐にわたる作品群に一貫した世界観とは何か？展覧会や文献では知ることの出来ないアーティストの複雑に入り組んだ思考回路の一端が、本人へのロングインタビューと関係者への取材によって明らかになる。

| Tsubaki Noboru -Radikal Monologue |
Kenji Kubota Art Office is pleased to present "Tsubaki Noboru" , which is from a series called "Oral History", a film archive of testimonies from Japanese artist and his/her related circles.
This also is a very first documentary film for Noboru Tsubaki, whose known for the gigantic grasshopper of 50m ("The Insect World/Locust") inside Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel during Yokohama Triennale 2001, was a huge topic.
Keeping a certain distance from Art Market and Art Systems, Noboru Tsubaki has been searching a "radical dialogue" within the society. What does "world", "human" and "art" mean for a person like Noboru Tsubaki who is widely recognized as a talented artist as well as an able and charming professor? With a varied interest, complete research and full of creativity, what is the consistent theme? Through the interview of Tsubaki Noboru and his related circles, a part of his complex world will be revealed.
The meaning and importance of being creative in this chaotic world will be found in this DVD!
